Parkaeology - CANCELLED

About Parkaeology - CANCELLED

In light of updated Scottish Government advice regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have taken the decision to close public access to our staffed properties and offices until further notice. All planned public events will also be postponed until further notice – full details of these can be found on our Events page in the coming days: historicenvironment.scot/whats-on.

There is so much to explore and investigate in our archaeology zone in Holyrood Park. Chat with archaeologists involved in archaeology across Scotland, learn about some of their exciting projects and have a go at hands-on activities. There's even an opportunity to visit a dig taking place in the park!

Holyrood is home to nationally important archaeological sites dating back thousands of years. Meet some of the archaeologists responsible for looking after these precious and fragile archaeological remains, hear first-hand about exciting research projects and have a go at hands-on activities.
