Our Art & Wine Evenings offer a fun, relaxed, creative night out in Edinburgh's fabulous city centre Georgian New Town, and are perfect for those who lack confidence with their drawing skills.
June's theme is 'Flowers' and will feature images by artists Georgia O'Keeffe, Van Gogh and The Scottish Colourists. With hands-on help from local artist Suzanne Kemplay, you will learn how to create your very own still life or landscape painting using acrylic paints, while enjoying a glass of wine and nibbles.
You don't have to be able to draw, so it's perfect for beginners as well as those who are new to using acrylic paints. And we think you'll be amazed at what you can achieve in one evening!
Our 2020 Art & Wine Evenings offer a range of themes to choose from including: Scottish Landscapes, Impressionists, Still Life, Figurative and Flowers. However, we can be flexible: if you really want to paint ‘Flowers’ and the date you're booking for is ‘Scottish Landscapes’ just let us know in advance of the class. Suzanne will provide a background to the artist's work, and support throughout the evening to help you make the most of your time.
No previous experience is needed. Images will already have been drawn out beforehand so you can get straight to work, and have fun playing with paint. Suzanne will talk you through the process showing you how to mix colours, and how to apply acrylic paint.
The price includes access to all the equipment you will need, all materials plus complimentary wine and nibbles. And of course you'll take home your finished painting to inspire you to continue painting at home!
Bring a Friend Offer
We think these socially-minded evenings make a great alternative night out in Edinburgh, so we offer a 20% discount if you book an additional space. This means you can bring along a friend or colleague for just £36. When you book your place, let us have the name of the person you'd like to bring and we will email you a discount voucher code.
Please note that The Arienas Collective experiences are run from a first-floor space and unfortunately we do not have lift access.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Art and Wine Evening ‘Flowers’ are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
