About The Spatz Quartet: Music from the Great American Songbook

Instrumentals and songs with lasting melody performed by 4 well-known musicians who came together for last years Edinburgh Fringe and sold out every show. Roy Mac, Spatz Showband leader on vocals; the inimitable and accomplished clarinettist Dick Lee; one of the UK’s most respected jazz guitarists Malcolm MacFarlane; and renowned bassist Ed Kelly, always produce a musically sophisticated, interesting and entertaining show. The focus of this night is the American Songbook standards – no big band, no orchestra, not even a piano – just stripped back arrangements that evidence the fact that the melodies speak for themselves!

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for The Spatz Quartet: Music from the Great American Songbook are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment. All information (whether in text or photographs) is given in good faith but should not be relied upon as being a statement of representation or fact.
