Workshop: How to make your voice heard

About Workshop: How to make your voice heard

Is there an issue close to your heart that you care about that nobody’s talking about? Jubilee Scotland is running a workshop for people to learn skills for how to campaign on the social issues that are important to them. By being able to organise action within their communities, the causes they are passionate about can be heard by the people in power.

Throughout the last year Jubilee Scotland has been working on a campaign against Public Private Partnerships, opposing the Scottish Government’s use of these schemes which have driven the country into debt. Now, we want to share our findings in a workshop which will equip you to engage with local politicians and have a say in the matters that affect your community. This workshop will give you lifelong skills that will enable you to engage with the work of local councils and MSPs and start your journey in campaigning on the things that matter.

The workshop will be led by Jubilee Scotland’s Campaign Director Line Christensen, and two guest‐speakers from the Church of Scotland who have long-standing experience in linking together communities & MSPs to work on causes and with participatory budgeting in local authorities.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Workshop: How to make your voice heard are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment. All information (whether in text or photographs) is given in good faith but should not be relied upon as being a statement of representation or fact.
