Join me in my studio to create a handy leather or pleather covered journal with exposed long stitch . . .
A chance to get creative with lots of yummy materials and make a personalised journal that you can cherish for years to come.
We'll use my 'go to' Flat White paper for the main body of your book (made from recycled coffee cups - great for watercolour, sketching and note taking) and a long stitch / link stitch to bind your book together - a nifty technique that you can use again and again to create sturdy notebooks, sketchbooks and journals.
I'm passionate about re-purposing materials and making the craft of bookbinding fun and accessible - so expect an informal atmosphere, lots of guidance and a cuppa on hand to sip while you stitch.
Booking via Eventbrite website link above.
Please note: this workshop is held in my converted shipping container artists studio, which can fit a maximum of 6 participants. Unfortunately the venue is not fully accessible for wheelchair or powerchair users, please get in touch if you have any questions.
Location: Meanwhile in Leith, Edinburgh EH6 8NR
*Full details of how to access my studio will be provided once you have booked, prior to the workshop.
