An all star film adaptation of a well loved classic.
Based on the award-winning musical from Andrew Lloyd Webber, inspired by the poems of T. S. Eliot, Cats is an all-star film adaptation of a well-loved classic. A tribe of cats, known as the Jellicle tribe, come together once a year to celebrate the Jellicle Ball, where their patriarch, Old Deuteronomy (Judi Dench), chooses one cat to be reborn into a new life on the Heaviside Layer. With a colourful selection of characters, including the rebellious Rum Tum Tugger (Jason Derulo), the loveably ridiculous Jennyanydots (Rebel Wilson) and the shadow-lurking villain Macavity (Idris Elba), this musical extravaganza is brimming with ballet dancing felines and a memorable soundtrack. Directed by Tom Hooper (The King’s Speech, Les Misérables), Cats also stars Ian McKellen, James Corden, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Hudson.
Director: Tom Hooper
Cast: Idris Elba, Judi Dench, Ian McKellen, Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Swift
