Full Schedule and program:
Our speakers involve members of the group 'La comuna presxs del Franquismo', an association formed in 2011 to uncover, from personal experiences, the struggles and repression that characterized the last years of the francoist dictatorship, and who continue to seek justice to this day.
This will be followed by a talk from the MAR collective (Mares i Avies per la Republica/Mothers and Grandmothers for the Republic). This is a network of relatives of the recent victims of police brutality and abuse in Catalunya, following the independence referendum and who are fighting for justice and the freedom to protest.
To follow up on this topic, a recent documentary 'Poble Rebel' will be screened. A documentary about dissidence in Catalunya since 1974 until the present day, analyzing how and why social movements have arisen, grown and organized themselves (Language: Catalan/Spanish, Subtitles: English)
