Edinburgh Australian Wine Fair

About Edinburgh Australian Wine Fair

Australia has one of the most diverse wine scenes in the world. Quite simply, there’s nothing like it. With over 100 grape varieties grown across 65 wine regions, our wines are an expression of the distinctive terroirs and vibrant communities that cultivate them.

Australian winemakers are curious by nature, perfecting old concepts and playing with new ideas to create something extraordinary. No technique goes untested and no convention goes unchallenged. In fact, you could say they have a proud tradition of starting new traditions.

Taking place at The Balmoral Hotel, there will be more than 350 wines from 60 wineries across Australia. This is your chance to meet the people behind the wines, hear their stories and try a diverse range of wines.

From regional heroes like Margaret River Chardonnay, Barossa Shiraz and Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir to alternative varieties and new-wave styles such as Barbera, Chenin Blanc and Saperavi, the tasting will demonstrate that Australian wines are far from ordinary.

• More than 350 wines from across 30 regions, from Margaret River in the west to Hunter Valley in the east
• Explore regional heroes from iconic producers such as Peter Lehmann, Langmeil, Yarra Yering and Tasmania’s House of Arras
• Find out what’s coming out of Australia today – discover alternative grape varieties and new wave styles
• Try new wines and new vintages, which haven’t been showcased in Edinburgh before
• Meet winery owners and principals – a number of Aussies are flying over for the event
