About Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel (2019)

Dir: Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck PG, US, Action / Adventure, 123mins

Captain Marvel is yet another entry in the ever-expanding Marvel universe, but it is significantly different from many of the titles that have come before. Directed by US indie film darlings Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (Half Nelson) and starring Oscar-winner Brie Larson (Short Term 12, Room) this is the origin story for Marvel’s most popular female superhero, Carol Danvers.

Choosing to fully modernise the latent feminism that Danvers embodied in the 1960s comic books, Boden and Fleck have created an exemplary heroic icon to rival DC’s successful recent reinterpretation of Wonder Woman.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Captain Marvel are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
