Holyrood Distillery: Whisky Walking Tour and Tasting

About Holyrood Distillery: Whisky Walking Tour and Tasting

Ahead of opening in July this year, and to celebrate Whisky Month, Holyrood Distillery has partnered with Kask Whisky to develop a Whisky Walking Tour, with tasting session. The tour takes in the St Leonards and Southside area of the city, where the new distillery is located.

The walking tour will introduce visitors to the rich history and distilling heritage of this area, which was once home to 30 breweries and has strong links to some of the most important whisky dynasties of historic Edinburgh. The tours have been developed, and will be led by, Justine Hazlehurst, founder of Kask Whisky and Fife Whisky Festival. Justine already operates successful whisky walking tours in Leith.

The walking tours will finish at Holyrood Distillery's current pop-up shop, for a tasting session of specially selected whiskies related to the tour, and to illustrate the area's wonderful whisky and distilling heritage.

The tours and tasting are approximately 90 minutes long. 45 minutes walking, followed by 45 minutes tasting at the Holyrood Distillery pop-up shop.
