About Schiltron!

Edinburgh Castle is steeped in war. From the Wars of Independence through to the Civil Wars of the seventeenth century, Scots relied on pikes in battle.

Come along, find out what a Schiltron was, how pikes were used and have a go yourself.

One for the whole family to get involved in and enjoy!

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Schiltron! are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment. All information (whether in text or photographs) is given in good faith but should not be relied upon as being a statement of representation or fact.
