This Beginners Sewing Day is an easy introduction to sewing. It will teach you how to use a sewing machine, and some foundation sewing skills. And you'll learn how to make a lined reversible tote bag.
What's covered in the Beginners Sewing Day:
How to use a sewing machine safely and confidently
How to wind bobbins and thread up the machine
Understand the importance of correct thread tension
How to sew perfect straight lines, smooth curves and turn corners
How to take up a hem
Make a useful folding tote bag. (You will need to bring 0.5m each of two co-ordinating fabrics, one fabric for the outside and one for the inside, and matching thread. Please use craft cotton or poly/cotton.
I've been sewing since I was a child and that's a lot of years experience. During that time, I've made every mistake in the book. Now you can benefit from my mistakes and learn to sew like a pro in just a few hours.
