Welcome to the Edinburgh Mela! For over twenty years we’ve been bringing outstanding world music and gorgeous international dance to Scotland’s capital city, in a joyous carnival of colour, rhythm, community celebration…and delicious food.
The Edinburgh Mela seeks to embrace all its diverse communities and cultures, providing a showcase and development opportunities for artists from within those groups, working alongside artists of national and international stature. Our aim is to provide a high quality festival of music, dance and the wider arts from around the world, with the express purpose of promoting understanding between people and advancing the cause of community coherence.
