A well-established sports bar located just off the Royal Mile. Reasonably priced drinks, close proximity to student accommodation and several backpackers’ hostels, this lively venue is very popular with students, backpackers and the local contingent. The main focus of The Globe Bar is live sports, with all sports catered for – no matter how niche. Multiple live sporting events can be shown simultaneously on our 7 large flat-screen televisions and 2 huge projection screens. All major sporting events from all over the world can be requested and even recorded by the helpful and enthusiastic staff. This ensures that no sports fan misses even one minute of their favourite game.
With a great selection of international beers and snacks from across the world many travellers visit the bar to garner a taste from home. Various entertainment offerings including live music, weekly quiz night, open mic, karaoke and regular hostel challenges; The Globe is a truly international and diverse bar where there is always something going on. The Globe is open until 1am every night, except during festive periods whereby the license is extended until 3am
