Welcome to St Andrew’s and St George’s West
Hello!

We’re a community of 300-odd people exploring faith, hope and love in Edinburgh in the 21st century. In seeking to follow the way of Jesus we commit ourselves to loving service of God and neighbour.

Summer in the City

Trying to amuse the kids? Why not come along to one of our summer sessions in August – meet some animals at our pop up children’s zoo, create some crafts or work off lots of energy with some welly-dancing.

Love music? Our Sanctuary is a fabulous venue for music of all kinds – classical, jazz, organ, world and more. Have a look at St Andrew’s and St George’s West at Festival Time – a month of music, books and art in August – and plan your culture trip.

Books more your thing? We have a mini-book fringe for you too. Come and listen to broadcaster James Naughtie and author Bernard MacLaverty talk about the music that has influenced them most.

Just chilling? take a moment in quiet space away from the hustle of George Street, be guided by daily reflections at 1pm or discover our friendly café with great food.

We’re open 7 days a week

Our award-winning Undercroft Café is open 10-2 Monday to Friday and the church is usually open 10-3. Weekends: we’re open 11-2 on Saturdays and 9-3 on Sundays for 4 different services. Check out the online diary of events to see what’s happening.

Join us for worship

You’re welcome to drop in for peace and quiet – our prayer space is open throughout the day and a short time of prayer at 1pm. On Sundays choose from four different services. There’s a short spoken communion at 9am; a lively all-age service at 9.45am, traditional morning worship at 11am and a bilingual BSL (British Sign Language) service at 2pm with Albany Deaf Church.
