The Patrick Geddes Centre is an exciting new world-class centre for learning. Our home, the beautifully conserved Riddle's Court in the Lawnmarket is steeped in history, culture and architectural wonder.
Inspired by Geddes' educational philosophy, the Centre fosters learning for all through 'Hand, Heart and Head', learning by 'doing'.
The Centre offers a broad programme of events, tours, educational visits, academic engagement and project collaborations. Our work is inspired by the life and interests of Geddes – from our built heritage and collectively shaping our future, to his championing of sciences, social reform, music and art.
