Our skilled bakery team, led by Mimi's daughter, Gemma, produce a mixture of traditional classics and creative inventions. We believe in home baking with no pre-mixes, no cheats and no chemicals; just time, love and passion. The bakery is based in Leith and can be viewed through two large windows inside the cafe.
Looking for something savoury? Our all-day brunch and lunch dishes are sure to satisfy all appetites with hearty cooking, Scottish ingredients and generous portions - but don't forget to leave room for cake!
Mimi’s award-winning afternoon tea is perfect for a special occasion or even just a cheeky treat: freshly prepared sandwiches, traybakes, mini cupcakes, pavlova and our signature scones topped with homemade mixed berry jam & Cornish clotted cream.
We can also cater for various dietary requirements, including vegan and dairy-free, with 48 hours notice.
On a Saturday and Sunday morning, Mimi’s Bakehouse also serve a unique breakfast-style Beforenoon Tea, which features miniature bacon rolls, pastry twists, breakfast muffins, breakfast cereal traybakes and homemade granola.
Mimi's Bakehouse is an award-winning service-light cafe located in Edinburgh within the City Art Centre, a scone's throw away from Edinburgh Waverley train station.
