#artcore is a collaborative 2 year project led by Out of the Blue at the Drill Hall in collaboration with Edinburgh arts organisations, young people, artists and young Creative Apprentices.

We aim to develop a new and vibrant youth arts scene, one distinct from adult arts, where young people take charge. #artcore is for young people aged 13 – 25 ; apprentices aged 16 – 24; youth arts organisations and practitioners.

The project will provide paid employment opportunities for young people and empowers Creative Apprentices and participants to develop youth arts. Over the two years we will involve some 1500 young people in the creative programme.

#artcore is a collaboration between 13 arts organisations across the city. To find out more about our partners, scroll down.

Out of the Blue leads the project. Out of the Blueprint is #artcore’s The key collaborators are Edinburgh City Libraries, Pyroceltica, Strangetown, North Edinburgh Arts, Creative Electric, Thistle Foundation, Lucky Frame, The Bongo Club, WHALE Arts, Hoda Productions and Active Inquiry. Our major funder is the Creative Scotland Youth Arts Development Fund, Time to Shine and we are one of 9 Scottish youth arts hubs. We also work with arts and community partners, freelance practitioners and young creatives. We are interested in expanding our network of collaborators. We are particularly interested in hearing from any Edinburgh based young person, youth groups or those supporting young people.
