From 17th – 29th April 2024 members of the public and the college are invited to witness the moving collection of photographs, which will take viewers on a powerful journey through treatment, recovery, and rehabilitation.
The launch event for the exhibit will take place on 18th April 2024 from 5 – 7pm, where guests will hear from award-winning Glasgow-based orthopaedic surgeon Sanjay Gupta at a sparkling drinks reception.
Close to the Bone was shot and curated by photographer Caroline Seymour as part of a unique collaboration with patients and consultant orthopaedic oncology surgeon Professor Tom Cosker.
This free-to-attend exhibition does not shy away from the harsh reality of a bone cancer diagnosis, even venturing into the operating theatre to show the intricacies of surgical treatment.
Close to the Bone will be on display between the hours of 10:00am - 4:00pm in the Lock Room of the college building on St Vincent Street, G2 5RJ.
To register your interest for the launch event and for more information, please visit: www.bcrt.org.uk/awareness/close-to-the-bone.
This exhibition is proudly supported by the Bone Cancer Research Trust and Sarcoma UK.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
