Award-winning, visual theatre makers Megahertz and arts producing house FERAL are bringing their showstopping night time outdoor performance and mobile projection parade to Craigmiller and Niddrie on the evenings of 20th and 21st March 2024, in collaboration with Lyra, Edinburgh.
STRUT performances are rooted in the community with familiar faces taking to the streets to celebrate dance in the local area. Dramatic lighting, catchy beats and stunning projections enveloping everyday buildings form the perfect backdrop for the neighbourhood to watch the STRUT procession. Snug behind windows or gathered on the pavement, it’s the ultimate ‘Are ya dancing? Are ya askin’?’.
Five dance heroes will perform as part of STRUT, all local to Craigmillar and Niddrie. Each performer will wow you with their own choreography, representing and celebrating their much loved community through Highland, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Disco and Breakdance moves.
These top-tier dancers were chosen from a vast array of submissions from a wide ranging open-call and will be moving and shaking their way around streets in Craigmillar and Niddrie.
