About The Saltire Society Literary Awards

The Saltire Society Literary Awards

The Saltire Society brings you Scotland's National Book Awards!

Join us at the National Museum of Scotland to celebrate the best in Scottish books on Saturday 30 November.

Founded in 1936, the Literary Awards have been celebrating new talent and established expertise in Fiction, Non-Fiction, Poetry, History, Research and First Book as well as the overall acoloade of Book of the Year. This year we are thrilled to introduce Book Cover of the Year, celebrating the best in Scottish design, and the Saltire Lifetime Achievment Award which will highlight the work of one of Scottish literature's greatest contributors.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for The Saltire Society Literary Awards are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
