Black Talon return with a special show to celebrate the release of ‘Existential’; 5 tracks of intense, technical thrash with intertwined themes of despair, paranoia and suffering that is far more uplifting than that description suggests. Still as fast as a coked-up Dark Angel playing an intimate show on the Shinkansen, you will not leave wishing you had heard more riffs for your money. As well as performing tracks from Existential, you can expect to hear some old favourites, at least one song we swore we’d never, ever play again and precisely zero ballads.
Disposable: They are the pinup poster boys of Central Scotland Thrash, storming across the nation on the back of their new album ‘Suffocator’. An intense live show is their calling card and they aren’t stingy when it comes to dishing out piping hot bowlfuls of riff soup. My prediction? Pain.
GENDO IKARI: Overwhelmingly heavy Glasgow grind ensemble that sound like what it feels like when you’re frantically attacked by a gang of drug-addled chisel-wielding maniacs in the park, but it’s OK because you’re still able to nod your head to the riffs. Blasts and fasts all the way.
TEMPERED: These Glasgow thrashers do not fuck about and continue to go from strength to strength as they rack up the shows. You’ll get to experience all the thrill of a horrific road traffic accident without the unpleasant hospital treatment and compensation claims; their riffs will leave you upside down and covered in skidmarks.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Black Talon: ‘Existential’ Launch Show are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
