Evening Twilight

About Evening Twilight

Pàdruig Morrison, Linda MacLeod, Seonaidh MacIntyre and Calum MacDonald recreate a vital setting for the transmission of stories, songs, tunes and lore in the Gàidhealtachd (the ceilidh-house). The quintet are inheritors of the language and culture of Uist and Skye, who combine to share and celebrate the old tradition we are in risk of losing. The evening will be a fully Gaelic production, led by young Gaels who pursue busy lives promoting Gaelic culture and arts with vigour and passion.

Performance in Gaelic, with summary translation programmes.

Tha Pàdruig Moireasdan, Linda NicLeòid, Seonaidh Mac an t-Saoir and Calum Dòmhnallach a’ toirt sealladh den taigh-cèilidh, mu dh’fhaoide an t-àit’ is cudromaiche gus sgeulachdan, òrain, puirt agus seanchas nan Gàidheal a chumail beò thar na linntean. Mar chòignear a tha nan oighrean air cànan is cultar Uibhist agus an t-Eilean Sgitheanach, agus nan cuid-obrach mar luchd-brosnachaidh cultar na Gàidhlig, ann an Ciaradh na h-Oidhche tha iad a’ toirt sgairt is beatha dhan t-seann traidisean.
