Gods of Molenbeek

About Gods of Molenbeek

Does God exist? What happens when we die?

In a district of Brussels rocked by terrorist attacks and perceived as a hotbed of radical Islamism, two six-year-old children seek answers to life’s big questions. Finno-Chilean Aatos lives in the same apartment block as Amine, whose family originate from Morocco; their daily lives, though markedly different, are shaped by this ethnically diverse neighbourhood. This lyrical documentary offers rare insight into friendship, identity and, above all, what brings us together.
