About The Constructed Worlds of Calum Colvin: book launch party and signing

Join acclaimed Scottish artist Calum Colvin as he launches the keenly anticipated new book about his work by Tom Normand. The Constructed Worlds of Calum Colvin (Luath Press) is the first major colour illustrated publication to provide a coherent overview of four decades of the artist’s work and practice.

To celebrate the launch, enjoy music and a complimentary drink in the incredible surroundings of the Great Hall at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery. Calum and Tom will be signing copies of the book and in conversation about the work featured on the cover.

Calum has created a new limited edition plate to celebrate the book, exclusively available for purchase at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery shop. The event ticket price of £5 is redeemable against the price of the book. Customers can receive 15% off* all purchases during the event.

*T&Cs apply. 15% discount is valid in our Scottish National Portrait Gallery shops on the night of Friday 23 August 6.30-8.30pm. Excludes custom prints, Friends memberships, tickets and gift vouchers. Not valid for online orders. Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer.

A full accessibility guide is available at www.accessibilityguides.org

We provide a sensory map of the building to help visitors identify areas with changes in light, smells and noise. It locates seating areas and less crowded, quieter spaces. Printed copies are available from the front desk at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.

Located in the city centre on Queen Street, the Scottish National Portrait Gallery is easy to access.
