About Willow Weaving Workshop: Craft Scotland Summer Show 2019

Tue 20 Aug / Sat 24 Aug 2019

Weave a boat-shaped basket from organically grown Scottish willows. Experienced basketweaver Anna Liebmann will teach you the techniques to create a unique woven basket from different coloured barked willows. Anna will guide you through grading and shaping of the willows.

Since 2005, Anna has been weaving with willow that she grows, cuts, sorts and prepares herself. To Anna, baskets are things of beauty – sturdy and precise.

These maker-led workshops are part of a larger showcase, the Craft Scotland Summer Show 2019. Returning to the second floor of White Stuff in Edinburgh's city centre, the show will present work from over 41 designer/makers based in Scotland. Discover statement handmade objects for you, and your home, from established and emerging makers from Friday 2 to Sunday 25 August 2019.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Willow Weaving Workshop: Craft Scotland Summer Show 2019 are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
