The White Rose of Gask

About The White Rose of Gask

Freeland Barbour Book Launch

Lady Nairne wrote over 100 popular songs during her lifetime. Despite their popularity, she shunned publicity and never acknowledged her authorship, even concealing it from her husband. In The White Rose of Gask (Birlinn), celebrated Scottish folk musician Freeland Barbour presents a long-overdue biography of her life and work. Join Freeland and poet, actor and singer Gerda Stevenson to celebrate the book launch with songs and stories from Lady Nairne’s life.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for The White Rose of Gask are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
