About Penicuik Estate: Past Present and Future

This lecture will look at a brief history of Penicuik Estate since it was acquired by the Clerk family in 1654, the building, destruction by fire of the Palladian Penicuik House and subsequent consolidation of the ruin, followed by a glimpse of plans for the future development of the Estate in the hands of the current younger generation of the Clerk family. Speakers: either Sir Robert Clerk Bt., joint owner with other family members of Penicuik Estate and trustee of Penicuik House Preservation Trust or Charlotte Picking, Head Ranger, Penicuik Estate

All of our lecture mornings cost £9 and include a friendly lecture where you have the opportunity to meet our guest lecturer, have coffee and cakes and get a special tour.
