To celebrate the fifth anniversary of Edinburgh Trams, we’ve released our very own children’s book. The book, titled ‘Tilly the Tram’s Noisy Birthday’, is aimed at children aged 5 and under and invites readers to join the adventures of Tilly the Tram and her friends Pippa the Plane, Bobby the Bike and many more! The story follows the journey of Tilly the Tram, who seems to have lost her sound – can you help her find it?
On Sunday 2 June, Forth 1 radio presenter Micky Gavin will be on board Edinburgh Trams for FOUR exclusive journeys around Edinburgh to tell Tilly’s story to her youngest fans in a setting they won’t forget. Not only that, Micky will be on hand after the live storytelling session to pump up the volume and to bring some on board kiddi-oke! For every childs ticket sold, £6 of the money will go straight to Edinburgh Tram’s chosen charity of the year The Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity, who continue to transform the lives of children and young people in hospital and healthcare settings across Edinburgh so that they can be children first and patients second.
The following journeys will be available on Micky’s Storytelling Tram, please arrive at 10 minutes before your journey begins to check in and please be sure to check your pick up location:
10:21am: Gyle Centre to St Andrew Square
