About Puppetry Scratch Night

Puppetry Scratch Night is an evening of new ideas and exciting puppetry performances that are still in development.

Puppetry Scratch Night provides a platform for Scottish based emerging and established artists to develop and present a new puppetry performance idea to audiences.

Puppetry Scratch Night will select five artists or companies to workshop their idea with support from puppetry expert Gavin Glover and director Nikki Kalkman. These five artists will then present these new performances in a wonderful evening of puppetry antics.

Each of the five pieces will be up to fifteen minutes long with a short five minutes break in between for the audience to provide written feedback. There will then be an opportunity to network and mingle following the event.

Come join us for a delightful evening of marvellous new concepts and puppetry performances.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Puppetry Scratch Night are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
