The Gardeners of Salonika: Britain’s War in the Balkans 1915-18

About The Gardeners of Salonika: Britain’s War in the Balkans 1915-18

Long considered to be an irrelevant sideshow, Britain's forgotten Salonika Force played a vital part in the collapse of the Central Powers, on a battlefront where the climate and terrain were as powerful enemies as the Bulgarians. David Clarke is a historian and specialist in the military conflicts of the late Victorian British Empire and the Great War. He is a teacher in Edinburgh.

All of our lecture mornings cost £9 and include a friendly lecture where you have the opportunity to meet our guest lecturer, have coffee and cakes and get a special tour.

Take advantage of our special offer, book 10 lectures for £80.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for The Gardeners of Salonika: Britain’s War in the Balkans 1915-18 are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
