About Beginners Stone Carving: 6 week course

Wednesday 15 May - 19 June 2019
3.00 - 5.00pm

Taking place in ESW’s outdoor courtyard this new afternoon class will introduce you to tools and basic carving techniques. You will develop a clay maquette to work from and use carving tools to employ reductive methods to sculpt in limestone. The course will also cover finishing and presentation of pieces.

Who teaches it?
Alex Lopez
Graduated from the School of Fine Art, Neuquen, Argentina
Degree in Art History from Edinburgh University
Worked with Jorge Michelotti
Exhibited widely in Argentina, Portugal, Greece and Scotland and made several public art commissions
