Cyanotypes or ‘blueprints’ as they are also known are identified by the vibrant cyan indigo colours of the prints, formed by the iron salts used in the two main chemicals; Ferric Ammonium Citrate and Potassium Ferricyanide.
On this half-day taster workshop with visiting artist Rachel Sedman you will learn how to mix the chemicals to the traditional cyanotype formula and to coat water based paper (ie watercolour paper) with the cyanotype solution. You will create and take home a set of A5/A4 prints.
You will have access to all the equipment you will need, and the price includes all materials and refreshments.
Please note that The Arienas Collective workshops are run from a Georgian mews house and the workshop space is on the first floor and unfortunately we do not have lift access.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Cyanotype Printing Taster Workshop are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
