Blending theatrical storytelling with digital and live performance, TWA exemplifies the way that women have been silenced over the years, and found hope in creative resistance.
Sorry, but this event has been and gone!
Annie George & Flore Gardner
In a powerful blend of theatrical storytelling, animation and live performance drawing, award-winning writer Annie George and visual artist Flore Gardner unwind contrasting stories about women who are silenced.
A contemporary tale interwoven with the Greek myth of Philomela - based on Ovid’s Metamorphoses – with dark poetic text, startling imagery, music and sound design, Twa explores duality and how the creative act can become an act of resistance.
