About What a Voice: Kathleen MacInnes, Fiona Hunter and Kaela Rowan

Soundhouse Organisation and Tradfest

'Kathleen MacInnes has a voice like peat smoke and good whisky, as robust, sassy and soulful as it is supple and expressive.' – Kate Molleson, The Guardian

'Hunter’s strengths lie in a vocal tone that she varies to suit the mood of the song while always sounding like the real deal and her ability to project a genuine empathy with the characters she’s singing about.' – Rob Adams, The Herald

'The mellow lull of Kaela’s vocal is a tonic for the soul.' – Neil McFadyen, Folk Radio
