Nicholson’s Whisky Showcase

About Nicholson’s Whisky Showcase

The month-long showcase, which is now in its second year, is underway and will run until Sunday 24th February. It will be available at pubs including Greyfriars Bobby’s Bar.

With over 15* whiskies on offer, the showcase will give Scots the chance to try some of the world’s best whiskies including Scottish brands like Glenfiddich, Highland Park, Macallan, Dalwhinnie and international brands like Jack Daniels, Sexton’s, Jameson’s, Maker’s Mark and Hibiki.

Nicholson’s hand-picked collection has something for everyone, both seasoned whisky drinkers and novices alike. With a wide range of flavours and styles that’ll suit every palate, guests will be able to enjoy big, bold and full-flavoured whiskies, as well as softer, more delicate drams.

Taufiq Abdu said: “The Whisky Showcase is always an incredibly popular occasion, and we’re sure that the selection of whiskies available this year will once prove to be a hit.”

“As ever, we’ll have some lovely whiskies available from some of Scotland’s leading distilleries as well as some from further afield, too. We’re sure that even the most seasoned whisky drinker will be able to find something new and exciting to try at the showcase.”

NEW FOR 2019:
As well as seeing the return of some old favourites, Nicholson’s will also be introducing a selection of whiskies which will be new for the 2019 showcase. These will include:

Originating from Bushmills in Northern Ireland, this single malt is rich in hue and bold in taste, with bold, dried fruits and memorable toasted oak notes.

This single malt Scotch whisky is like a Highland peat campfire, with oak notes and toffee. Originating from Speyside, Scotland, it carries aromas of sharp green fruit, sweet baked apple and soft smoke.

All the way from Tennessee, this sweet premium whiskey is from the Jack Daniel’s family of brands. It’s double mellowed, before and after the ageing process, resulting in a cleaner, more refined end product.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Nicholson’s Whisky Showcase are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
