Laura Macdonald is one of the UK's leading saxophonists with a musical history that includes fronting a band that included David Bowie's final collaborator, saxophonist Donny McCaslin and the composer of the Birdman soundtrack and Pat Metheny's long-serving drummer, Antonio Sanchez.

Macdonald's lyrical, expressive alto style is particularly suited to the conversational nature of duo playing. Her album with New York pianist David Berkman, Duets, received glowing reviews on its release in 2014 and she's joined here by one of the world's top keyboards players, Steve Hamilton (who currently tours with Mahavishnu Orchestra drumming legend Billy Cobham and previously worked with Bill Bruford's Earthworks) for an intimate concert featuring newly minted takes on jazz standards that celebrate melody and consummate musicianship.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Laura Macdonald and Steve Hamilton are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
