About Restoration Week: Charles II, James VII & II and Holyrood

Come along to the Palace of Holyroodhouse to enjoy a week of drop-in activities inspired by Charles II and James VII & II, their art and architecture.

Join us in the Great Gallery at 14:00 for daily performances of classical and traditional music including some baroque pieces.

Tuesday 12 February - Join the Edinburgh Sketcher for drop-in hour-long sketching workshops inside the 17th century rooms of the Palace. Sessions start at 10:30, 11:30, 13:30 and 14:30 in the Throne Room.

Saturday 16 February - The historical dance group, Les Danses Antiques, will be performing dances from the restoration period in the Great Gallery. Join us for their performances at 11:00, 12:00, 13:30 and 14:30.

Sunday 17 February - Live tapestry demonstrations will take place in the State Apartments.
