About Scottish Portrait Awards Exhibition 2018
Sorry, but this event has been and gone!
It features the winners of the £5,000 SPA in Fine Art and the £2,000 SPA in Photography, exhibited in the classic rooms of the Scottish Arts Club in Rutland Square. The fine art exhibition includes sculpture by Kevin Dagg and paintings by Daniel Murray, Paul Reid, Joyce Gun Cairns, Ross McCauley and Alan McGowan, among many others. The photographic exhibition is showing Oyster Boys, by Kat Gollock, depicting the late Scott Hutchison of the band Frightened Rabbit with his friend and collaborator, poet Michael Pederson; Lucas Chih-Peng Kao’s portrait of artist Mira Knoche and Colin Heggie’s enigmatic portrait of his eldest son, which was taken on the last day that entries were accepted for the awards and aptly named Milo 30.06.20i8.
The SPA exhibition will transfer to Glasgow Art Club in the new year. The Scottish Portrait Awards are organized by the Scottish Arts Club Charitable Trust.
