About Immerse Comedy City

Newly established variety night @Immersecomedycity will be set in the plush surroundings of the Counting House Ballroom located within The Pear Tree complex in Edinburgh.

Join us once a month for a friendly and intimate top night of live comedy, theatre & music. Bringing you an assortment of top-tier headliners from stage, TV & the music industry.

Doors will open at 8 pm Show commences at 9 pm until 11 pm with music until 1 am.

Your host on the evening will be Aatif Nawaz
An award-winning British-Pakistani television presenter and stand-up comedian. Who has also won acclaim for his acting, filmmaking, radio presenting and writing. One of the most respected acts on the UK circuit.

Aatif will be revisiting Edinburgh not long after his run at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival which has attracted rave reviews for the fourth consecutive year. ‘Instant gratification’ received favorable acclaim across the board and has been featured as a winner in the 'Best/Top 10 Jokes' lists by The Guardian, the Daily Mirror and the Evening Standard.
Three supporting acts on the night will feature comedians, acoustic music, & live theatre performance.

The Counting House is an 18th Century building located in central Edinburgh. Used yearly as a free fringe venue complex during the EdFringe festival with as many as 63 different shows/performances running daily. The Ballroom will be set out in a cabaret style that features the famous & listed centered dome, joined by four beautiful chandeliers’ that adorn the ceiling. The recently refurbished venue boasts state of the art sound installation Martin Audio, State of the art lighting system & high-end bar/lounge/toilets that provide a unique ambiance to those visiting the venue.

Access to the venue via climbing the stairs from street level, straight in front you will enter into the Ballroom, with the lounge bar located to the right of the stairs on the same level. Free parking after 18:30

Advance ticket sales are available on Skiddle, but if you choose to buy on the door, please arrive early to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited and we fill up quickly.
