The Living Room Gigs

About The Living Room Gigs

The Living Room Gigs are back in May, hosting some of Edinburgh's finest musicians once again in the most intimate of settings, the Roxy Snug Bar.

This month's lineup is:

Other Dog

Other Dog recently formed in Edinburgh as a three piece, consisting of Eiko (vocals, guitar), Gregor (keys) and Alastair (double bass). They play folksy tunes, some have been around for a while, others are brand new. Eiko has found himself living in different parts of the world over the years, and many of the songs are inspired by memories of these places.

Paper Sparrows

Edinburgh’s Paper Sparrows began as a collaboration between singer-songwriter David Hershaw and multi-instrumentalist Ross Fairbairn, who developed a distinctive twin acoustic guitar style - and were completed by long term friend and collaborator Colin Morris on double-bass. Their arrangements draw upon the work of finger-picking virtuosos like Jansch, Renbourn, Rawlings and the Milk Carton Kids.

Jemima and the Fuse

Jemima and the Fuse are a folksy fusion of dark songs and bright rhythms. The brittle power of Jemima's unique voice delivers warm, intriguing lyrics on a bed of playful instrumentation encompassing plucked, bowed, acoustic and electric strings and featuring multi-instrumentalist and producer Tim Lane (Hidden Orchestra) on an array of percussion surrounding an unusual wooden box, a chromatic tongue drum.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for The Living Room Gigs are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
