Edinburgh Premiere of STREET REQUIEM – for those who have died on the street by Kathleen McGuire, Andy Payne and Jonathon Welch

Featuring The Highland Divas USA
Sing the World choir from Australia and USA
Conducted by Dr Jonathon Welch AM

… and special guest artists Grassmarket Community Project Choir

Awarded a special citation by the prestigious ‘American Prize’ for ‘dignifying the homeless’, Street Requiem is a 50-minute cantata, written in 2014 by Kathleen McGuire, Andy Payne, and Jonathon Welch, features a variety of musical styles, ranging from gospel to baroque. It was written to bring a sense of peace, remembrance and hope to communities struggling with homelessness.
