About Cello on Fire

Celebrated Viennese cross-over cellist Peter Hudler returns to the Fringe with his brand new show, after a successful run in 2017. Cello on Fire is a burning hot mix of styles, genres and characters. Educated as a classical cellist, Peter now performs the cello in a wide range of styles, pushing the limits of the instrument and the player. From the most simple folk tune to the most sophisticated jazz gem, from bluegrass to baroque, set off on an unforgettable musical journey. ‘His wonderful playing blurred the boundaries between genres and instruments.' (ThreeWeeks). ‘Appealingly rough-hewn expressiveness' (Herald).
