The Scottish Portrait Awards Exhibition features stunning portraits in a wide range of styles by fine artists and photographers born, living or studying in Scotland.
It includes the winners of the £5,000 Scottish Portrait Award in Fine Art and the £2,000 Scottish Portrait Award in Photography. Works appearing in the exhibition were selected by celebrated artist John Byrne, Imogen Gibbon who is chief curator at the National Scottish Portrait Gallery, and Guy Peploe director for the Scottish Gallery, among others. This is the first year of the Scottish Portrait Awards, which will be an annual event. The organizers aim the create a vibrant new platform that celebrates and supports excellence in Scottish portraiture. See our Facebook page for many examples of the work on show.
Please note that access to the photography exhibition is limited between 12.30-2pm. The fine art exhibition may be viewed 11 to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday. The Scottish Arts Club is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
