Class Act

Bringing you brand new short plays written exclusively for the Traverse stage by young people from across Edinburgh, Class Act is a must-see for anyone who wants to see the world afresh.

Class Act

About Class Act

Whether exploring family dynamics, personal challenges, creating fantastical worlds or tackling the big issues of today, our young playwrights share their stories. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes dramatic, but always thought provoking - join us as these plays burst onto the stage and hear these exciting voices, tell you how it really is.

This year’s Class Act playwrights are pupils from Boroughmuir High School, Craigroyston Community High School, Trinity Academy and Wester Hailes Education Centre.

Class Act is the Traverse’s flagship education project. Now in its 28th year, it challenges senior pupils from schools across Edinburgh to become playwrights, creating brand new scripts which are premiered on the Traverse stage.

Supported by Creative Scotland and the City of Edinburgh Council.

Age 14+

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Class Act are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
