About Metamorphosis: An Exhibition by Lesley Redfern

Venue: Craft Cafe, Marian House, Oswald Road, Edinburgh EH9 2HE

An exhibition of photography and short films by artist Lesley Redfern, offering an artistic response to the physical and mental changes caused by dementia.

Lesley attends Craft Cafe in Edinburgh with her mother Greta. These are creative workshops taking place in care homes aimed at people with dementia and their carers.

This show, entitled Metamorphosis, relates to the journey that her mother is on as her dementia progresses. The collection of work depicts and visually articulates the effects on the brain, memory, life and moments of someone living with dementia.

An honest yet gentle approach to a delicate subject, the Craft Cafe Gallery is the perfect setting for an artistic response to the changes caused by dementia.
