About The Royal Highland Show

The 179th Royal Highland Show is one of Scotland's most iconic events celebrating the very best in farming, food and rural life. Held over four days in June, the Royal Highland Show has over 900 competitions, 1,000 trade exhibitors and over 6,500 animals.

A great family day out, there are many attractions to enjoy during the Show including:

Scotland's Larder Live! - enjoy tasty treats from around 100 exhibitors and celebrate food provenance, regionality and seasonality. The Cookery Theatre offers live demonstrations, tastings, talks and so much more!

13th Avenue Arcade - Experience the retail delights located in the 13th Avenue Arcade. You'll be spoiled for choice with everything from fashion, art, jewellery, garden accessories and homeware to choose from, so come along and see for yourself.

The Grand Parade- Enjoy the spectacular display of the country's best livestock, this is a wonderful experience for all Show visitors. The Grand Parade is hugely popular and the grandstand fills up quickly in the afternoons of Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If you don’t know your Belted Galloway's from your Belgian Blues then this is a very rare opportunity to see so many different breeds at one time.

Countryside Area - set by its very own loch and surrounded by stunning landscaping, enjoy demonstrations and events showcasing a wide range of country sports and activities and rural skills.

It’s the one place you can meet, touch, smell, taste and take home the best in the country.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for The Royal Highland Show are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
